On Monday, October 22nd, Barbara Kutchko with the Department of Energy, a distinguished speaker with SPE, paid a visit to UL petroleum engienering drilling related laboratories: the drilling fluids laboratory, the drilling engineering laboratory and the barrier Lab. Being a reasercher on foamed cement, Mrs. Kutchko commended the petroleum engineering at UL for the quality of the equipement and laboratories available to the student and said she is looking forward to working closely with the UL PETE department.While visiting the drilling bab, she also watched our students doing their weekly lab exercise circulating out a kick with a kill mud and praised the well control education provided to the students.
