We are proud to announce that four of our Petroleum Engineering students represented UL Lafayette at the 2026 IADC/SPE International Drilling Conference and Exhibition, held March 17–19 in Galveston, Texas.

Developed by the industry, for the industry, this world-class event brings together operators, contractors, service companies, and technology innovators to explore challenges and share advancements shaping the future of drilling, especially within the context of the evolving energy transition.

All expenses for our student representatives were covered by the International Association of Drilling Contractors (IADC), including conference registration, hotel accommodations, and corporate-hosted dinners each evening.

We are especially proud to share that Hallie Delcambre was selected by Mike DuBose of IADC Headquarters to serve as a student delegate speaker during the D&I Session, Building Tomorrow’s Workforce: Navigating M&A, Inclusive Legacies, and Next-Gen Talent. Her contribution reflecting on the next generation of energy professionals was an outstanding representation of our program and its commitment to forward-thinking leadership.

Thank you to IADC for this incredible opportunity and for continuing to invest in the development of future petroleum engineers.
