UL Lafayette Petroleum Engineering’s IADC student chapter officers are attending the IADC Well Control Conference of the Americas & Exhibition, held August 19-20, 2025, in New Orleans, Louisiana.

The conference examines innovations shaping the future of well control, featuring timely technical presentations focused on technology advancements and personnel competencies. Sessions highlight recent developments in well control techniques, training approaches, management systems, and other practices that support safer and more effective operations.

Participation in this conference reinforces our students’ classroom and hands-on preparation while connecting them with current industry standards and ongoing conversations in well control. It also provides valuable opportunities to network with professionals and learn directly from leaders advancing well control education and practice.

We sincerely thank IADC for hosting this event and for their continued support of UL Lafayette Petroleum Engineering and our students.
