We are proud to announce that Timothy McMullen, an undergraduate student in Petroleum Engineering at the University of Louisiana at Lafayette, has earned 2nd place in the Undergraduate Student Poster and Presentation Contest at the 2025 AADE National Technical Conference and Exhibition, held April 15–16 in Midland, Texas.

Timothy presented his work on “Drilling and Completion Optimization to Maximize Hydrocarbon Recovery in the Volve Field”, showcasing innovative strategies to enhance efficiency and output in complex drilling operations. His work stood out among submissions from students across the country and reflects the strength of UL Lafayette’s commitment to academic excellence and real-world industry relevance.

The American Association of Drilling Engineers (AADE) hosts this prestigious annual conference, bringing together professionals from major and independent operators, service companies, drilling contractors, and suppliers.
