Fall 2024 Students Excel in IADC WellSharp Certification

UL Lafayette Petroleum Engineering students demonstrated their expertise by successfully completing the IADC WellSharp Well Control certification this weekend. This certification is a cornerstone of our curriculum and underscores our commitment to industry excellence.
We take pride in being the only Petroleum Engineering program in the nation accredited as an IADC WellSharp well control provider, offering in-house well control education tailored to industry standards. Attendance and testing are mandatory for all students as part of their professional preparation.
This semester, 13 students participated in the certification process, achieving an impressive class average score of 88%, with all students passing with distinction. This accomplishment reflects their dedication and the quality of education provided by our program.
