On March 8th, students from the UL Lafayette Petroleum Engineering program embarked on a valuable field trip to Expro, marking a significant opportunity for hands-on learning. The timing couldn't have been more perfect, as Expro had their high-pressure well test package set up in their yard for an upcoming inspection.

During the field trip, students witnessed a high-profile offshore application, with equipment strategically positioned in the exact footprint to be utilized. The setup included flow lines, secured bindings, transducer cable placements, and data acquisition elements, offering a comprehensive view of the operational intricacies involved in well testing.

We extend our heartfelt appreciation to Expro for providing this exceptional opportunity, allowing our students to bridge the gap between the classroom and the industry. Experiences like these play a crucial role in enhancing practical knowledge and understanding for future petroleum engineers.
