Baker Hughes Drilling Services Facility Tour

UL Lafayette Petroleum Engineering students visited the Baker Hughes Drilling Services facility on September 8th. The tour covered drilling motors (PDM and RSS), MWD/LWD tools (density, neutron, sonic, resistivity, etc.), telemetry communication, reamers, QA/QC procedures, drill bits, etc.
After an education of downhole drilling tools during the week in the classroom, we proceeded to connect the dots from a classroom education to the real world of our industry.
