On Friday 9/13, UL Lafayette Petroleum Engineering went on a facility tour at Nabors Offshore Drilling. They were loading boats up to rig-up on a tension-leg platform (TLP) in the Gulf. Students were able to see BOPs, accumulators, pumps, top drives, draw works, rig structures, etc. 25 students in attendance. After a week of learning rig components in the classroom, a fine education was delivered here.
