IADC Corporate Visit to UL PETE

UL Lafayette Petroleum Engineering had a corporate visit from IADC on April 5^th.  Mike DuBose – IADC VP, and Angie Gunden – Corporate Director.  A three-hour facility tour, followed by a presentation by Mr. DuBose to our student chapter drilling officers – both IADC and AADE.  He stressed the importance of practical knowledge coupled with the education taught in the classroom. Mr. Dubose commanded also the Petroleum Engineering departmenet at UL for the Industry accreditation and its facilities describing it as a leader in this endeavor. 

IADC also announced that they will be hosting four of UL PETE students at the World Drilling Conference in Milan, Italy in June and all expenses will be paid by IADC.
