On Friday September 21st, 28 UL PETE students went visiting a 2,000 HP barge rig, Parker Drilling Rig 55B, in Amelia, LA. The students had the opportunity to actually see the equipment they have been told about in the drilling class and lab (Accumulators, BOPs, top drives, pumps, solids control, etc.).
