Drilling Engineering Laboratory

Hands on analysis of drilling engineering by each student to include bits, rigs circulation systems, solids control techniques, core preparation, rock swelling, rock mechanics (predicting penetration rate by Mohr's Stress theory), drilling string and bottom home assembly components, stuck pipe simulation, cementing, casing, threaded connection, calculation of mud weight and directional surveys.
